The Morning Session

We covered the first 11 of the 33 questions about the “facts” of technology. I have to remember that we start with bits, move to bytes, then we go in multiples of 1000.

A Kilobyte is 1000 bytes, which by rule of thumb is one double spaced typewritten page.

A Megabyte is 1,000,000 bytes, by rule of thumb 1000 DS typed pages, or roughly a book.

A Gigabyte is 1,000,000,000 bytes (one billion), by rule of thumb, a small library.

A Terabyte is 1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion), by rule of thumb, a large library, like the Library of Congress.

I’ve also learned how to link Video into a ‘blog and I’ve linked photos into my blog as well.
